A fervent love for the making of things.
Most oft I fashion books for sheer delight; at times I craft flashcards,
yet puppets—ah!—puppets are the greatest joy ever wrought by mortal hands. Of this I am most certain.
I dearly love to learn, yet my schooling was most ill-starred—
or perchance I was the ill-starred one therein.
Whichever be true, much ground lay before me to recover.
Thus, I devised a plot:
First: read the book.
Second: It it doth interest me fully, read it yet again—fear not, it never grows dull.
Third: having read it thrice or more, rend it wholly apart,
and rebuild it anew in another style,
with fresh illustrations and a new look entire (same words).
Thus one truly knows the book.
The trouble, of course, is plain:
when none hath asked thee to remake a book,
none will pay thee coin for the trouble.
So this path bears no purse nor promise of profit.
Learning itself is the treasure—

Comfortable with Uncertainty: 108 Teachings on Cultivating Fearlessness and Compassion is the most incredible book. It offers short, stand-alone readings designed to help us cultivate compassion and awareness amid the challenges of daily living. More than a collection of thoughts for the day, it offers a progressive program of spiritual study, leading the reader through essential concepts, themes, and practices on the Buddhist path.
Added horses and sent her a reimagine of the book as a thank you. I can’t share it as I don’t have permission; The real book is EARTH SHAKING good!

Multiple Nobel Prize Winning Barbie: May inspire more little girls to go for the Nobel, who knows!
Robert P Hazen. This puppet will help Robert Hazen win the NOBEL PRIZE in Geology in a diabolical two-step process. 1: Convince the Nobel Organization to add “Geology.” 2: Nominate Hazen If this doesn't work:FIFA
MELF: A Marionette Elf I found the talking elf toy in the drugstore. I cut the head off, re-attached it, and then made a marionette. Mostly so I could name it Melf.
I offer this puppet humbly and with respect. This is Namaste. She is a little monk. She has sitting and walking meditation positions. She enjoys Dharma, meditation, farming, music, and yoga. Namaste has a humble and deep bow.
Jacked Al (Einstein) Jacked Al is an antique I took apart, changed his hair and clothes and restrung, then changed the hair again, and then again…still working on the hair. This is what I thought he might look like if he was a superstar today, and had sleeves, a cape, biceps and an ascot.
EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ALLIGATOR:ESA comes with a stroller, sling, bottle, a piece of my childhood blanket, and a book about how to keep your pet alligator. Honestly, she’s a bit much. My first and only attempt at taxidermy-based puppetry. It's a real alligator head
This puppet is named “A Eye” because it has an eye on its chest, an AI engine that talks to you, and A “I” on its butt AI is the greatest threat to humanity by far, and it is also super cute.
Goth Rock A little Marionette with a Head like a hole, drinks her coffee black like a soul…
Monkeeeeeeeeeeeeeee This was my first monkey. This is a musical puppet/ventriloquist dummy. It can be used for playing piano with BOTH hands.
Pareidolia There is no face here, but your brain will make one for you, that is called “Pareidolia” This puppet is a demonstration of it’s name.
Sylvester William Shakespeare Stallone Shakespeare's writing is a foundation of literary art, rich with poetic devices and complex themes, whereas Stallone's screenplays are structured for immediate, high-impact storytelling centered on an underdog protagonist (mostly Stallone). It's a boxing puppet
"Peace is the Answer" Eleanor She is always peacing everyone out.
This is Dr. Doctor, PhD The Marionette that started it for me. I got fascinated first by marionettes, then by ventriloquism and the models. Getting better.
JAY (ZA) This puppet takes WU-TANG all the way to 11. Get it Jay, Lego Ninjago and (ZA)! Wu-Tang Forever!
CATMAN The ears, He’s always landing on his feet, no echolocation, really good at fighting, his love interest is Catwoman. And the final straw: He’s always soooooooo curious!!
Kermit the Dragon There are more Kermits. Notice he always adds "the frog" This one is a love child.
Fink A funky piano playing puppet
Rock Puppets I made a lot of these out of River rock. The idea was to hang rocks to practice balancing marionettes, but then I started liking how the puppets looked and put clothes on them. Anyway I gotta bunch of these still.
Billions with a "B" A benevolent billionaire giving money. She also gives out wildflowers...and real actual money. She is also a ventriloquist dummy, She so rich she wears a Sasquatch on her belt!
Tried to understand the publishing business, and even opened up a bookstore. Big fail, got a library card.

Five Board Games
For a time, the way forward was to create games that people could play around some big themes. Slaveopoly and Race cards tackle the myth of race, Hack yo life shows the way to happiness, and Time puts it all in perspective.
They make total sense in my brain; other people have found some of them kinda fun and others, confusing.
Slaveopoly: a deep dive on ancient to modern slavery and shows how race is a holdover from the transatlantic slave trade.
The Cards of THinking Clearly is a Card version of Rolf Dobelli’s the Art of Thinking Clearly, these showcase 99 cognitive disorder cards
Hack Yo Life shows the ingredients of human happiness and how to find it
Race Cards: This is a 92 large format set of cards that trace Race from Ancient slavery (no race), Greek, Roman, Trans Atlantic and NaZI forced labor, Politics, religion, art and finally language. No person has Black or white skin. All humans are shades of the same color. THis proposes a way though, let’s end race completely as a concept. Here are the cards to help.
TIME: This one places technological advances next to human rights to help give situational awareness
Helped to create and manage an art space created to build large scale industrial ART: NIMBY
I was lucky to work with Micheal Snook, helping with a lot of various duties around the NIMBY warehouse for about four years. We worked to build artist spaces, foster an artist community, and provide a large industrial space for many large-scale Burningman bound art. Because we had to keep rent very low (because artists), we through several shows, a few Fight Parties, and a lot of fundraisers. I learned a ton about community, helping to create art that I don’t do, and supporting a diverse community. I messed up a lot. Snook was really the guy that kept that magical place going for as long as it did.
“If you need a kickass place to build industrial art or want to go to a seriously interesting party then NIMBY is the place to be.”

RECENT BAD IDEAS
This one time, tried to draw EVERYONE in a book that had no plot. Then redid and released the same book five times. None of them made sense.
The book featured a bunch of funny science, jokes and conversations around some general knowledge that seems unrelated at first but comes together to that crescendos into the point that there is no such thing as race. It features Sylvester Stallone as THE BRAIN! Honestly, I like this one a lot but I’m not sure it makes sense to other people. also needs a real editor
The joke here is that The up and down quarks with the electron and neutrinos form the family that makes up ordinary matter or our “everything” is another way to say it.
HAHA right? Jokes that need explaining are the best!
LAST ONE
Tried to line up chasing cars to Romeo and Juliet set in west oakland for a music bookeo; Like a music video, but a book.
